Guest Speakers

Morning Yoga

Julene Warren

I began my Yoga journey in 1999 by attending classes at the local YMCA. By the time I found Bikram in 2004, I was in fully addicted to my personal practice. The heat and gentle movements of a Bikram class helped heal issues with my back as well as providing a respite for my mind. In 2009 I decided to extend my personal practice by training to teach. I studied under Theresa Murphy, completing my 200 hour training by the end of that year. I am now working toward my 500 hour certification. I have also trained under Judith Lasater and been certified as a Restorative Teacher.

Through training I found a love for many other styles of Yoga. Hot Flow, Yin and Restorative are among my favorites. Teaching allows me to share the joy, peace and love that Yoga has brought into my life.

Boot Camp

Heidi Slaymaker Harsin

Heidi grew up in Atkinson, Nebraska. She came to Lincoln to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University where she received her B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and started Body Innovations over 9 years ago. As of January of 2018, Heidi also became certified as an Orange Theory Fitness coach...adding a new and exciting element to her passion in the fitness world.

An avid runner, weight lifter, triathlete and mom; Heidi became passionate about exercise and wellness at a very young age. She truly believes that an overall healthy lifestyle, including a good nutrition plan and a sound fitness program, will enable one to become not only healthier and stronger, but happier, too. She loves helping people learn and discover how much better their lives can be with a little hard work and dedication. “It never ceases to amaze me what the body can do if it’s just taken care of.”

Spirituality

Anne Ginn

Anne Ginn is a Theology faculty member at Creighton University where she teaches in the graduate Christian Spirituality program.  She has been a Certified Spiritual Director for the past 18 years.  Anne leads retreats, workshops and guides individuals on their individual faith journeys.

After several years in a corporate and retail career, Anne was drawn to her work in spirituality out of a call to find a way to help others recognize their unique faith path and discover a meaningful relationship with God and the sacred.  Believing that our deepest, desires are heavenly placed, Anne guides others to become aware of who they are divinely created to be.  She teaches that finding our authentic identity is true spiritual freedom fulfilling our relationships with God, spirit, ourselves  and others.

She enjoys travel, cooking, scuba diving, Bikram yoga and is a master knitter.

Evening Yoga

Jane Bouwman

It is my belief that health of the mind and body are directly related, and therefore, happiness is an integral part of one's own health. For me, yoga is a way to promote this balance (tula) within myself. I became a yoga instructor, hoping to not only give yoga a more prominent role in my own life, but to share this gift with others and hopefully guide them towards a more happy, balanced, and truth.

If it doesn't challenge you,
it won't change you.
